Yogyakarta, 26 July 2025 – The Innovation Stand of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta has born its commitment to improving public health through the National Launch of the Food Processing Places Hygiene and Sanitation Guidance Movement (PN-GPTPP-LHS). This event was more than just a ceremony—it served as a platform for collaboration, attended by key figures including the Expert Staff of the Minister of Environment and the Chairperson of the Central Board of HAKLI (Environmental Health Experts Association of Indonesia).
The presence of these high-ranking officials underscored the strong commitment of the government and professional organizations to improving food quality standards across Indonesia. The GPTPP-LHS Movement is a strategic initiative aimed at ensuring that all food processing facilities—from small-scale to large-scale operations—meet proper hygiene and sanitation standards. It is a proactive step to prevent foodborne diseases and protect the public from health risks.
During the event, Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta showcased a variety of innovations developed to support this movement. These innovations are the results of in-depth research by faculty members and students, highlighting Poltekkes’ active role in developing practical solutions for public health challenges.
The Expert Staff of the Minister of Environment emphasized the importance of synergy between environmental and health aspects in creating safe food. Meanwhile, the Chairperson of HAKLI Central Board praised the role of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta as a driving force in producing innovations and competent environmental health professionals. Through this collaboration, the GPTPP-LHS Movement is expected to run effectively and bring about real, sustainable improvements in ensuring food safety and enhancing public health in Indonesia.
