Joint Prayer Ahead of UKOMNAS for Students of the Midwifery Department, Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta, July 15, 2025 – In preparation for the upcoming National Competency Examination (UKOMNAS), the Midwifery Department of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta held a joint prayer event on Wednesday, July 15, 2025. The activity was attended by all final-year students from the Diploma III Midwifery Study Program, Diploma III Medical Records and Health Information Study Program, as well as the Midwifery Professional Education Program.

The prayer took place at the campus mosque of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, commencing with an introductory session followed by the prayer led by Ustadz Achmad Qusoyyi, S.Pd. The atmosphere was solemn and reflective, serving as a spiritual effort to seek smoothness and the best possible results in facing the UKOMNAS. After the prayer sessions, participants continued with congregational Dzuhur prayer.

Additionally, students of the Catholic faith were also provided a simultaneous prayer service held at St. Albertus Agung Church Pugeran, Yogyakarta, with a morning Mass. Through this interfaith approach, it is hoped that all students can undertake the competency exam with calmness, confidence, and achieve competent results, which are the principal requirement to proceed with the graduation process on schedule.

Through this activity, the campus not only promotes the academic preparedness of the students but also strengthens their spiritual dimension as an integral part of mental and emotional readiness to face the final exam on their path to the professional world. The Midwifery Department hopes this event will foster a sense of togetherness and embody the great hope of the entire academic community for the best outcomes for all students.
